TUESDAY of 10th WEEK, uneven numbered year
“Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish them but to complete them.”
The first Covenant reveals God to humanity by the prophets who sowed God’s Word in his People. Jesus, the Word made flesh, the beloved child of the Father, received human nature through Mary. Sharing our humanity, he accomplishes in his flesh the Word of God. Jesus’ life is the accomplishment of this Word of God, it is the divine expression of the divine mystery that takes hold of all our capacities of love in the human heart so as to regenerate it. We were dead because of our faults and we have found life once more ,thanks to Jesus who accomplishes God’s Word in us by His Cross. Plunged into human distress, drinking the cup of all our miseries, the Crucified and Risen Jesus has us rise with Him in God’s Love. So before God we can have a great assurance, not because of a personal capacity whose merit we could attribute to ourselves, for all capacities come from God. In God’s Love that repairs everything, the Holy Spirit is given to us. We can surrender ourselves completely and be absolutely confident so as to accomplish God’s Word that is Love.
"Amen I tell you, till heaven and earth disappear, not one dot, not one little stroke, is to disappear from the Law until all its purpose is achieved.
in Jesus, God’s Word become lining flesh comes to us so as to have God known and how much he loves us. Thus we have the fullness of the Revelation, Jesus is the Son of God who expects a loving response from God. This response is manifested to us in the accomplishment of his teaching. ’If you love me, you will remain faithful to my commandments.’ Our capacity to love is vivified from now on by the Infinite Love of God manifested in Jesus Christ. In keeping God’s commandments, this shows that we love him by works and in truth. The Infinite Love of God , when it comes about in our life in Jesus, is the power of his
Resurrection at work in ourselves. not only is God’s Love given to us but also our capacity to receive it. its not our merits nor our efforts that are going to save us, but God’s Infinite Love, for all is grace. Everything is given to us in free love and with graciousness.
“Therefore, anyone who infringes even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered the least in the Kingdom of Heaven, but the person who keeps them will be considered great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
We accept that our whole life be plunged in the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus, that it be submitted to the Paschal mystery lived out in and with Jesus. By his Passion, Jesus teaches us the malice of evil and he heals us from this evil in a very deep way. We need to be clothed once more with the Infinite Love of God, letting ourselves be healed by the wound in the Heart of Jesus that is the summit of the Revelation. Jesus reveals to us the importance of gentleness and humility : ’Whoever observes the smallest of these commandments and will teach them will be declared great in the Kingdom of God.’ Patience and perseverance are such important qualities for Christian apostleship. ’Having loved his own in the world, He loved them to the end.’ Blood and water poured from Jesus’ side, said the apostle John. This place of Calvary is the place of life, the place where every kind of death dies, overcome for ever in Christ’s death. Death is dead in this place where the Revelation of the greatest love. May our heart be truly plunged in the wounded heart of the Lamb and may it find in it what it needs to live.
