Jesus reveals the divine plan in all its spleandour and he does this with grat humility. Jesus sent seventy-two disciples around the places where he wa to go. They come abck full of Joy over how god has been working. The Coming of the Messiah to mankind brings about Hope for us. The Kingdom will flourish with jusice and peace for the whole world. Our world is in such great need of peace and of unity, of justice and of Love. The hope of Christians is a ray of Ligt and a Source of warmth for the world. It belongs tot hose who are simple and humble of heart. It is only by adoring and loving God above all things that humanity can bring fully be accomplished. The poor and tiny little ones animated by the Holy Spirit are in Joy. We can already percieve Jesus’ presence in our midst. May Our Blessed Lady help us to prepare Christmas so that we may recieve Jesus, the saviour of the world. “Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father ; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except he Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.” Joy is a gift of the Holy Spirit and is the attitude that accompanies hope. The Coming of the Messaih and his Kingdom where justice and peace will flourish is a new reality that brings happiness to us. The Kingdom of God we are waiting for opens up for us a path in the world we are living in. This world needs peace and unity, justice and peace so very much. This hope doesn’t have its origins in human optimism or in false illusion, but it comes from God Himself .A person who hopes is somebody happy like little ones who feel the need to expeir aknowledgement. We are called to share Jesus’ Joy, He who is filled with the Holy Spirit, but Jesus has to go through many difficult ordeals. Jesus is turned to the Father, the Father of the tiny little ones.: ’Yes, in your goodness you wanted it like this.’ The world in which we live is so much in need of peace and of unity, of justice and of love. Our hope is really necessary. It doesn’t have it s origins in human otptimism or false illusions, but it comes to us from God Himself. Ouy of light and a source of warmth for the whole world. It belongs only to the one who is simple and humble of heart under the action of the Holy Spirit. For the Holy Spirit is hidden from those who flatter themselves in their scientific knowledge. These do not recognise the msytery of the Love of the Kingdom of God. “Then Jesus turning to his discipels spoke to them by themselves ’Blessed are the eyes that see what you see, for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and never saw it , to hear what you hear and never heard it.” We become capable of percieving how God works : Blessed are teh eys that see what you see!’ Praise can rise up from our lips, this is a good way of preparing the ways of the Lord Jesus. One good means of preparation during this time of Advent for the Coming of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, is to cultivate humility, to cultivate simplicity. This will open us up to the gift of God enabling us to live in hope and so that each day we become better witnesses of of the KIngdom of Christ Jesus. Joy is the attitude that accompanies hope. We are waiting for the coming of the Messaih and his Kingdom, in which justice and peace will flourish a new reality in which a path opens up, and in this path we discern his Presence amongst us. Together, we want to live from the Word of Jesus which draws our attention upon the combat we are leading, so that we may live in Peace. Jesus pours out his Life in lovingly listening, filled with admiration towards his Father. Jesus is active, moved by the Joy He recieves through contemplation. He encourages us to open ourselves up to this Joy. In order to celebrate peace at Christmas,we ask Mary to form within us a heart of a tiny little child, dependant on her Love, on the Love of Jesus in the Father. We ask for the grace to become these tiny little children who continue on the Way of Jesus.
Tuesday of 1st Week of Advent
“Just at this time, Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit and said : ’I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and for revealing them to the little ones.”
This Gospel passage has rightly been called the’ Magnificat’ of Jesus. His joy accompanies our hope. We are all waiting for the Coming of the Messiah and his Kingdom, in which justice and peace will flower for the whole world. Day after day, this Kingdom of God we are waiting opens up a path, and thus we preceive his Presence among us.
The world in which we are living is in such great need of peace and unity, of justice and love. It is necessary that Chrsitians be full of hope. This hope comes from God Himself. It is a ray of light and a source of wamth for this world. It belongs to those who are simple and humble of heart. Jesus sent out seventy-two disciples out to localities where He hImself was to go. They come back in a state of exaltation, having performed marvellous works through their hands. Joy shines forth from humility. The apostles are capable of discovering their littleness before God’s work performed before their eyes and through them. They are so full of gratitude and acknowledge this. This comes from a place at the bottom of their hearts and this pervades their whole being. Mankind can only become fully acomplished by adoring and loving God above all else. The tiny little ones are in a state of joy, animated by the Holy Spirit! May the Virgin Mary help us to prepare Christmas that gives us Jesus, the Saviour of the world, and that with Him we enter into this spirit of tiny little ones, this same spirit we see in the Gospel.
“Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father ; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except he Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”
